Miley Ray Cyrus born Destiny Hope Cyrus on 23rd November 1992, is an American artist, singer, and actress. Noted for her distinctive vocals that are raspy, her music combines elements of a variety of styles and genres, including pop, country pop, hip hop, experimental and rock. Cyrus has attained the most US Billboard 200 top-five albums in the 21st century by an artist of female origin, with a total of thirteen entries. Her personal life, public appearance, and performances often provoked controversy and garnered a lot of media coverage. Cyrus is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, emerged as a popular teen idol acting as the title character of Hannah Montana, a Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana (2006-2011). Hannah Montana was a US Billboard 200 number-oneartist, three times top-five soundtrack artist, and the Billboard Hot 100's number-one single, "He Could Be The One". Cyrus's discography includes Meet Miley Cyrus (2007) and Breakout (2008); and Bangerz (2013). She also has the top-five albums Can't be Tamed (2010) and Younger Now (2017). Miley Cyrus & her Dead Petz (2015) is her first album to be released for free. The top five also featured Cyrus's EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She Is Coming (1999). Plastic Hearts was Cyrus's most popular album and it debuted on the top of the Billboard Rock Chart. It also featured the song that was the lead single "Midnight Sky". She also released singles such as "See You Again", 7 Things", "The Climb", Party in the U.S.A." and "Party in The U.S.A.". "Party in the U.S.A." was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Cyrus's accomplishments include being included in the Time 100 in 2008 and 2014, MTV’s Best Artist of 2013 Award and inclusion on Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists List for the year 2019. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus was an actress and was seen in Bolt (2008), Hannah Montana: The Movie (2010) and The Last Song (2010). Cyrus was the coach on The Voice for two seasons and starred in "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too", a Netflix episode of Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a passionate advocate for the rights of animals. She began her vegan lifestyle in 2014. In 2014, she established the Happy Hippie Foundation which focuses on youth homeless and the LGBT community.
